Emergency First Aid Incident Response & Management
Course Aim:
To provide delegates and organisations with opportunities to demonstrate and exercise their knowledge, skills and team work in scenario based emergency response to serious First Aid incidents and to benefit from team de-briefing sessions.
Suitable Delegates:
Currently qualified First Aiders and Appointed Persons who may benefit, as part of a team, from scenario based training.
Awards:
- First Aid Certification of Competence in Incident Response and Management for Organisations
- First Aid Procedure Test Report Certificate.
Valid for:
3 Years
Pre-Requistes:
Students must hold either a valid
HSE Approved First Aid at Work Certificate.
Emergency First Aid (Appointed Persons) Certificate.
Course Duration:
1 Day
Syllabus:
- Liaison with Safety Officers to determine risks

- Setting up simulated accidents/incidents
- Assessing First Aid response times
- Assessing First Aid procedures
- Assessing procedures for obtaining further help
- Identifying response & procedure problems
- De-briefing all personnel involved in each scenario
- Recommendations for improving procedures
NB: Organisations Only.
Critique reports including recommendations will be made available supported by written and video evidence, where it is considered in the interests of safety that organisational procedures, training or equipment should be reviewed.
General Information:
- Delegates selected for Incident Response and Management training must be reliable and likely to remain calm in an emergency.
- Delegates should have the aptitude and ability to cope with intense scenario based training and be able to employ the knowledge and skills acquired.
- Delegates must not suffer from any Medical or other condition which would preclude their full participation in the practical exercises required during the training.
Delegates' normal duties should enable them to respond immediately to any First Aid situation.
